The Most Wonderful Time of the Year…
Yep – it’s time again for 24 ways, “the advent calendar for web geeks!”
That and AN EVENT APART IN SAN FRANCISCO!!!!!! Can I have a w00t from the congregation?
I can’t believe I get to meet Zeldman, “Beep” (aka Ethan Marcotte), Dave Shea, Andy Budd, Jared Spool, Eric Meyer, Jonathan Snook, Luke Wroblewski, and Jeff Veen, among others, IN PERSON! I either have books by the aforementioned web design gods, or follow them on Twitter, or regularly read their blogs, or all of the above! So exciting. And the topics look great, too!
I’ll report on An Event Apart here – it’s gonna be great. Wish you were coming, too!

Maggie that is so wonderful! Can’t wait to see your reports
Maggie,
I can’t speak for the other presentera, but I can’t believe I get to meet you in person too! Please make sure you say hi when you see me in SF.
Jared
omg – I’m pretty starstruck right now
I don’t get all silly around “regular” celebrities, but really great authors and bloggers, web designers, and Twitterers? Oh yeah. Maybe I’ll calm down by next week and actually be able to string two words together when we meet!
I’m sooo jealous! Have a great time tomorrow.
Thank you! It was an exhausting drive – through high winds – blowing snow, and blowing sand and gravel – we got two windshield chips going over Conway Summit! And then snow and TRAFFIC in Tahoe – it was such a relief when we finally got into just driving in the rain at night below Placerville. Ha. But we are here now at the Palace Hotel, and tomorrow it will all begin!
Thank goodness! Will you be on Twitter? I’ve not been paying too much attention to Twitter lately but I will if you plan to be posting.
I’m not sure – I haven’t tweeted in… maybe months! Maybe just Facebook, or this blog… If I actually used Twitter regularly any more, I’d put a feed in the sidebar and make it easy
You can follow An Event Apart on Twitter: http://twitter.com/aneventapart or Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/An.Event.Apart or Flicker: http://www.flickr.com/groups/sf09/ and their feed, from Tweets tagged #AEA09, http://afeedapart.com/
That should give you some places to find good info!
Oh, that’s plenty to look at! I’ll be visiting vicariously, then.
